Dharma King Lian-sheng Reveals Great Secret: Chanting the Title of the High King Avalokitesvara Sutra ‘‘Namo-gao-wang-guan-shi-yin-jing” with Reverence Will Purify One’s Body

Faith in High King Avalokitesvara and the propagation of the High King Avalokitesvara Sutra began in the Wei, Jin, North-South Dynasties; became popular in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and was highly revered in the Xixia Dynasty when every single person in the country learned the High King Sutra by heart. The Dharma King has previously revealed that he himself had been the reincarnation of the third emperor of Xixia. Owing to this link between the Dharma King and Xixia (Great White High Country), High King Sutra has become one of the two main sutras in TBS. Xixia has been called a secret kingdom as it finally vanished from history after 300 years due to its constant and strenuous battle with the Yuan Empire. Xixia was eventually captured in the Heihe River basin. In the last two decades, many experts and researchers have been trying to restore the ancient features of Xixia through the recovered antiquities and various geographic features. A historical account, one that has puzzled researchers and historians, and remains a mystery even today, is the story of Genghis Khan, his ability to command his military forces to successfully conquer vast European-Asian territories, yet he was unable to conquer Xixia, even after more than ten attempts. Dharma King has revealed the answer to the mystery: the whole country of Xixia was under the guard of High King Avalokitesvara.

Living Buddha Lian-sheng has been praising the eminence of High King Avalokitesvara in his teaching and the efficacy of the High King Sutra with countless miracles. For example, relics have been found after the cremation of a prisoner on death row in Singapore and among many other TBS disciples who had been constantly chanting High King Sutra. Living Buddha Lian-sheng said, ”My whole life has been under the guard of High King Avalokitesvara, and High King Avalokitesvara Sutra is a sutra with extreme efficacy. This deity of High King Avalokitesvara is one of the Avalokitesvara deities that I respect most. I Hope everyone recites it. It’s very simple; short but powerful.”

In addition, Grand Master said that High King Avalokitesvara had instructed that as long as one chants the title of its sutra six times in the morning, one can have one’s head, neck, upper body, lower body, thighs and legs all purified (visualize respective portion transforming into white color as chanting the sutra title each time.)
