The Child-Seeking Practice Transmitted by The Venerable Monk Liao Ming

The Child-Seeking Practice Transmitted by Venerable Liaoming

This is a Dharma practice for seeking children transmitted by Venerable Liao Ming, a Red (Nyingma) Sect Dharma Master of Tibetan Esotericism. It is said to be very efficacious. This practice has not been widely circulated in the world and is known by very few, making it extremely precious – truly a priceless treasure.

In this world, there are many people with infertility, married for many years without even a child.

Some only give birth to sons.

Some only give birth to daughters.

To be able to conceive, and have both sons and daughters, and for them to be handsome boys and beautiful girls, each with outstanding talent and excellent character, is difficult indeed!

However, the child-seeking practice of Venerable Liao Ming can fulfill all these wishes. Isn’t this exceptionally precious? Isn’t this invaluable?

Venerable Liao Ming’s Child-Seeking Practice is as follows:

The key lies in the materials. One must seek prayer beads from an elderly layperson who has recited Buddha’s name and mantras for over ten years; the longer the duration, the better.

The material of the prayer beads should ideally be “Bodhi seeds” (Bodhi beads), as “Bodhi seeds” contain the character “seed” (子), signifying a child. If not Bodhi seed prayer beads, prayer beads made from other types of tree seeds are also acceptable.

Why is the selection of prayer bead material important? According to Venerable Liao Ming, reciting one Buddha’s name generates immeasurable merit, and reciting one mantra eradicates sins as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. When a person’s hand turns the prayer beads, the beads already possess spiritual energy. Once these prayer beads have been blessed by Buddhas and mantras, and further empowered by hand, they are already spiritual objects. The longer they are used, the more potent their spiritual energy becomes.

To obtain the prayer beads from an elderly layperson, you can exchange them for a more beautiful and valuable string of prayer beads.

Or you can purchase them with money.

Remember this!

  • If the elderly layperson is male, the child sought will definitely be a girl.

  • If the elderly layperson is female, the child sought will definitely be a boy.

(This is still the principle of opposite sexes attracting.)

The Practice Method is as follows:

Take just one bead from the prayer beads and go to a relevant temple, such as the Temple of the Childbirth Goddess (Zhusheng Niangniang Miao) or the Guanyin Temple for Sending Children (Songzi Guanyin Miao). If there is no Temple of the Childbirth Goddess or Guanyin Temple for Sending Children nearby, the City God Temple (Chenghuang Miao), the Local Deity Temple (Jingzhu Miao), or the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Shrine (Dizang An)… are all acceptable.

  1. Choose an “Establishing Day” (成日) in the afternoon for the date.

  2. Offer incense, fruits, and prayers, following the Buddhist etiquette.

  3. Take out one Bodhi seed prayer bead and secretly bury it at the very bottom of the incense ash in the incense burner.

  4. Recite the Gatha (verse):

    Within the Eighth Consciousness field,

    Sow the Buddha seed.

    Rain and dew irrigate,

    Nourishing flowers and fruits.

  5. Pray for the swift arrival of sons and daughters.

  6. May it be auspicious and complete.

Many people have practiced “Venerable Liao Ming’s Child-Seeking Practice,” and each one has received a response. If the method is correct, one can truly obtain a son if desired, and a daughter if desired. Moreover, the children born will be handsome boys and beautiful girls, each intelligent and wise.

In addition, our True Buddha School reveres the High King Guan Shi Yin True Sutra (高王觀世音真經). This Sutra was already famous in the Tang Dynasty and is a Sutra of miraculous responses, capable of attesting to blessings.

Its final Gatha is:

The Ten Directions Guanshiyin, all the Bodhisattvas,

Vow to save all sentient beings; reciting their names brings complete liberation.

If there are those with wisdom, diligently explain it for them.

As long as there is affinity, read and recite without ceasing.

Recite the Sutra a thousand times, with continuous mindfulness.

Flames cannot harm, swords and weapons will instantly break.

Anger transforms into joy, the dead are revived.

Do not say this is false; all Buddhas do not speak untruthfully.

Gao Wang Guanshiyin can save from all suffering and difficulties.

In times of imminent danger and hardship, the dead are revived.

The words of the Buddhas are not false; therefore, one should prostrate in reverence.

Uphold and recite it a thousand times; all heavy karmic obstacles will be eliminated.

Those with blessedness and firm faith should diligently cultivate and uphold this Sutra.

The efficacy of the High King Sutra is numerous. It can also be used for “seeking children.”

The Key Points for Reciting the High King Sutra:

  1. Focus the mind in one place, without arising deluded thoughts.

  2. Time and place are not restricted; “spiritual freedom” is essential.

  3. It should come from the mouth, enter the ears, and imprint on the heart.

  4. Each time you make a vow, aim to complete a recitation of one thousand times.

  5. If there is still no response, know that your karmic obstacles are deep and you should continue reciting until a response is received.

Furthermore, Venerable Liao Ming once transmitted a Fu talisman to me. This talisman is for “locking away childlessness.” Venerable Liao Ming said: If someone marries a wife or takes a concubine and has no offspring for many years, then use this talisman. On the woman’s natal day (birthday), burn and swallow the talisman, and it will be effective.

I truthfully tell everyone that after receiving this talisman, I greatly drew this talisman to help people, and indeed it has saved countless individuals.

Some who had been childless for over ten years conceived.

Some with physiological defects also conceived.

Some whom doctors had given up on also conceived.

Some who had repeated miscarriages finally gave birth successfully.

…… (Miracles occurred one after another, continuously arising.)

As for the method of drawing the talisman, Venerable Liao Ming taught to set up an altar with offerings of fruit, wine, flowers, and candles, and to burn incense and offer incense prayers.

The procedure is: prostration, mantra-charged water, mantra-charged paper, mantra-charged brush, mantra-charged ink, drawing the talisman, mantra-charging the talisman, and dispatching the talisman.

Venerable Liao Ming also said:

When drawing talismans, the strokes should be strong, clear, and distinct, not weak or chaotic. As long as the spiritual light blesses the talisman’s form, the talisman will be effective.

Venerable Liao Ming told me:

“The children born through the child-seeking practice in the future will all be Buddha-children with surpassing wisdom!”

I asked:

“Where will so many Buddha-children come from?”

“You don’t believe it?”

“I believe it, but where do these Buddha-children come from?”

“I’ll take you to see!”

One night, Venerable Liao Ming (Qingzhen Daoist Priest) took me to the Brahma Heaven. In the Brahma Heaven, there was a golden tree, its branches and leaves luxuriant, spanning hundreds of miles. The golden tree also bore golden fruits, numbering in the thousands upon thousands.

Venerable Liao Ming pointed to the golden fruits:

“These are all Buddha-children!”

“These are golden fruits, and those are Buddha-children?”

Venerable Liao Ming pointed at the golden fruit again and made a gesture. Unexpectedly, the peel automatically opened, and a child appeared from within the fruit. The child’s skin was as white as snow, extremely adorable, and fragrant, and it jumped down.

The child said:

“Where did I come from?”

The child also said:

“Who gave birth to me?”

Venerable Liao Ming said:

“The children obtained through the child-seeking practice are all children who come from the heavenly realms. They possess great wisdom from birth! Questions like ‘Where did I come from?’ and ‘Who gave birth to me?’ are Chan (Zen) sayings worthy of deep contemplation!”

After Venerable Liao Ming’s pointing, a question came to my mind: “Ultimately, who gives birth to whom?”

Ultimately, who gives birth to whom? How can one suddenly be a Buddha and then descend to the Saha world, a thousand years passing in a flash? Who are you? Who am I?

Ultimately, who gives birth to whom? Suddenly one is Lao Tzu, and then suddenly one is a son, and the son gives birth to Lao Tzu, and Lao Tzu gives birth to the son.

Ultimately, who gives birth to whom? The one you are holding in your arms, is it a son? Is it Lao Tzu?
